Till now Brontok Virus has affected a lot of computer systems and will and is a problem of general people who dont know how to remove it from system.
There are two types of Brontoks mainly which are almost same in effecting the system:
1) Brontok.a
2) Brontok.q

Symptoms of Brontok Virus

1) System restarts as soon as u enter the DOS prompt.
2) Folder option is missing from Tools Menu and Control Panel
3) System often restarts when u open Internet Explorer or u get connected to Internet.
4) " Task Manager Disabled by your administrator" message comes when u try open task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
5) Run command is disabled and messsage comes its disabled.
6) Registory editor is disabled.

Now these are some common symptoms I found out in many computers

Now how to cure the system and how to get rid of this.
1) If ur computer restarts and u cannot install antivirus then do one thing.
Go to My Computer properties and under ADVANCED tab in system recovery and startup uncheck the automatically restart option.
This will not restart computer when system failure occurs.
2) Now get antivirus which scans nicely. Like in my case I used kaspersky antivirus. Now u can get that from the site (trial version)

now install it. To make it full search some sites or Google or orkut.com
3) Now scan ur PC with that antivirus and make sure it kills virus.
Dont worry it willl show u.
4) And now u can see what to do in the site

To bring back folder options which is not available there is here.

Now u r in Run box
type gpedit.msc and now u will a see a window like this
and now u can see folder options at the right pannel
disable it and again change it to not configured and now u work is done

U will find this in Group Policy (gpedit.msc)
in
Local Computer Policy >> User Configuration >> Windows Components >>Windows Explorer
Now u will see on the right side

"Remove the folder options menu from the Tools Menu"
Now u first disable it and then change back to
Not configured

Windows XP

Windows Xp an operating system comprising of all new features other than previous version of windows like 98 and all. Windows XP has a good security system and cannot be broken easily. Its security and firewall is made very tight.

The question comes in mind that why windows xp is better than other OS
1) Its got nice and great display as compared to earlier OS. Advance graphic is
there.
2) Enhanced security in case of Internet and password security.
3) New features like remote assistance and all is there.
4) And many more which cannot be explained.

Here I shall also discuss the loop holes of Windows XP which make u aware about the facts that what happens in it.

We say that there is a good security in Windows XP and cannot be broken
but some loop holes are still there which affect it badly
Loop holes are discussed below :
1) Many say if u dont know the password of Windows Xp adminstrator u cannot access account and cannot change the password but this is not upto the mark.
In two ways this statement can be proven wrong
a) Firstly,
if u have a bootable CD of windows XP then boot from it , repair the system and password is broken without any data loss
well sillly method takes a lot of time.
b) Take the bootable CD and go in DOS prompt after u select first repair option.
this repair is different than the above repair.
Now u enter DOS prompt
Now u find *.pwd or *.pwf files and delete them password it removes
c) if u able to access account
then on Run box type
control userpasswords2 and u will see a screen or dialog box rather
change password from there.

These r the loop holes.

Some tips and tricks to improve system speed and make it a rocket

1)
Open up the Registry and go to :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Wi

ndows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace

Under that branch, select the key :

{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

and delete it.

After this check out the browsing speed of ur pc...

2) HKEY_CURRENT_USER/control panel/desktop

Now on the right side:-
-right click 'HungAppTimeout'
-Click 'Modify'
-Type Value 1000 click Ok

-right click "menu show delay"
-make it 5.

-right click "waytokillapptimeout"
-change value from 20000 to 3000.

Now the general things come how to improve system speed

To improve ur system speed one can do following things.

1)Turn Off System Restore-
Right click on my computer icon and switch to system restore and check the checkbox system restore on all drives.

2) Go to control panel and go to power options and see if Hibernation is ON
then OFF it . If u dont want of off it then go to settings written below and reduce the %age to 4% and its done (on all drives)

3) Go to Recycle Bin and right click it and now go to properties and now in Global Tab make it 1%
that means that it will contain data from every drive only 1%

4) Use Disk Clean Up and Defragmentation often like in a week or month.
Disk Cleanup can be done everyday but Defragmentation takes time.

Now-a-days orkut has been became very popular and its getting more popular day by day.
Now many people have started hacking orkut also and making fun.
Being an Ethical Hacker I give u some tips to prevent your accounts from being hack.
1) Join friends who are known to u
2) Join friends and people but never go to link which takes time after also the page has loaded. The reason is that site might be using activex controls and may spoil ur computer or inject a trojan on ur computer and ur all activity done on ur computer can be seen by anyone.
3) Never paste any Javascripts on ur address bar and use Internet Explorer 7 so that ur account is safe because Internet Explorer encodes cookie and does not prints all.
Mozilla Firefox and Opera are dangerous.
3) Never download any unrecognized sofwares and specially from that site which no big site is connected like Google or Yahoo.
4) Alaways change ur password in a week atleast to prevent ur account from been hacked and so that no one can guess about it.
5)Use Antivirus which kill Viruses like Bit Defender , AVG, Mc Afee or some good antivirus. Antivirus which only warn and r useless dont use them.

Now how hacking can be done , which methods hacker use are there :
1) Cookie Exploitation
Hacker mainly use the method of cookie exploitation.
Now what is cookie and why so called
In general sense cookie is a part which maintains the session id and that session id spoils when u log out.
This cookie is really nice and can be eaten , hahahaha

Hey some hackers ask u to paste a code in ur address bar and say please its a card or something
U become excited and now everything is hacked and u dont know how.
But in this method changing password is rarely possible.

2) Trojan Method
Trojans are the programs which are thiefs and spy or spyware u can say and steal all ur data and give it to the other party for free and u even can't notice it.
How Trojan work : Trojans basically penetrate into ur system when u download something from a source or site or from anywhere like CDs , softwares etc.
Now it records all data and send it via email to the person who had made it for u.
and u r being hacked
Now how to get prevented from trojans I have listed above using nice antiviruses.
Trojans are mainly made using Visual Basic Language

3) Keylogger Method :
This method might need manual attention or may not be if advanced.
In this method u just need to install the keylogger on the victim's system and then configure it and all information will be directed to ur email ID.
Many people think that it requires a SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Server but this might not be the case and u can also configure it using ur e-mail.
It also works like trojan but is different and spyware
Its very sure method of hacking and might not be detected by antivirus.
examples of keyloggers like 007 Install.

4) Phishing:
This method is very simple but also sure. In this method people make a fake page and tell u that if u want to avail special offers then please login using this page.
Now u enter ur username and password and now the information is redirected to the email account of the hacker or stored in database and now u get hacked
so to better not to enter into site which askes passwords of other site.

5)Password Retrieval:

This method is also very cheap and easy and will make u laugh that some people also believe this. But we should not laugh as general people dont know this.
In this method what happens , a person who wants to hack asks everybody
"do anyone wants to learn hacking "
People say yes
and now
the other person says this
"Send a mail to password_retrival@domain.com and type ur email id , address and password and also the ID of the person u wanna hack. "

Now u think he is saying truth but as soon u do dis ur password is gone to his ID
and u r hacked.
Foolish method but effective , hmmm
Be aware or rather Beware.
